Mrs. Iva P. Gilkey, 86, formerly of Alamo died at 6;30 a.m. Thursday Aug 20, 1964 at Small’s Rest home, Waynetown. She had been living with her daughter, Mrs. George (June) Beatty in Crawfordsville but had been at the rest home because her daughter and husband had been on vacation. She had been ill 3 weeks. She was born June 24, 1880 near Alamo to William and Clarisa Ammerman Pickett. She married Audley Gilkey April 13, 1903; he died Jan 20, 1963. She was a member of the Alamo Christian Church. She has lived her entire life in Waveland and Alamo vicinity and was educated in the old Texas School in Ripley Township. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law two grandchildren and one great grandchild. She was preceded in death by a son, Raymond and a brother, Gilbert. Services were held Sunday at Servies Funeral Homer, Waynetown; Rev. Tremaine officiated; burial in Alamo Cemetery. -- kbz

Services will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at the Servies Funeral Home here. The Rev Guy E, Tremaine will officiate. Burial will be in the Alamo Cemetery.
